but I'm just not sure how much longer my mid-2012 (you read that right) Macbook Pro will last especially since it no longer is receiving the latest Mac OS's. I've considered the Intel based 16" Macbooks since they can run slightly more games but they're over 2 grand easily and I'd be pretty bummed to see my potentially $1,800 M1 MBP become obsolete by this fall.
Now I'm not trying to buy a Macbook JUST for gaming obviously, I am a streamer and using a capture card and OBS would be nice and as many games as a Macbook could muster but the overall user experience of a Macbook is just really hard to relinquish. But I'm worried that I might have trouble or get frustrated with trying to run various games either through Rosetta or even more complicated means or not being able to run them at all. I am entrenched within the Apple ecosystem so going directly to a straight gaming laptop as my only personal computer might prove difficult for me for everything that's NOT gaming related.
